On April 17, 2024, Ms. Louise Crayssac, the Asia Relations Project Manager of the International Relations Department of Bibliothèque nationale de France, visited BIBLIOTHECA ZI-KA-WEI and special areas of the Shanghai Library East, and was deeply impressed. Chen Chao, Director of the Shanghai Library, and Yang Yongmei, Deputy Secretary of the library’s Party Committee of CPC, had a conversation with Ms. Louise Crayssac in the reception room on the seventh floor of the Library East. Personnel from the Historical Documents Center, Information System Center, Information Processing Center, Reading Promotion Center, and International Cooperation Division participated in the reception. Ms. Louise Crayssac exchanged ideas with the library personnel on topics of mutual interest, such as librarian exchange program in Bibliothèque nationale de France, the "French-China Shared Heritage" project, and the cooperation in organizing exhibitions. Director Chen and Secretary Yang expressed thanks to Ms. Louise Crayssac for her efforts in promoting cooperation between the two libraries.
After the meeting, both sides exchanged gifts and expressed hopes for more communications and cooperation in the future.
