On March 7, 2024, Massimo Bray, Director of the Institute of the Italian Encyclopedia Treccani, and a delegation of three visited the Shanghai Library East, accompanied by Francesco D’Arelli, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Shanghai. Deputy Director Xu Qiang and the distinguished foreign guests had a meeting in the reception room on the 7th floor of the Shanghai Library East. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on future cooperation in organizing exhibitions and strengthening cultural exchanges between China and the West.
After the meeting, Director Massimo Bray, accompanied by Director Xu, visited such areas as the Treasured Collections Library on the 7th floor, the Music Library and the Fine Arts Library on the 5th floor, the Genealogy Library and Manuscript Library on the 4th floor, and the Reading Square on the 3rd floor. Personnel from the Historical Document Center, Reading and Promotion Center, Convention and Exhibition Center, and International Cooperation Division also participated in this event.
