On January 24, 2024, Mr. David Templeman, Minister for Culture and the Arts, Sport and Recreation, International Education and Heritage of the Western Australia Government, and a delegation of five visited the Shanghai Library East.
Yang Chunhua, Secretary of the Shanghai Library Committee of the CPC, had a conversation with Minister Templeman and his delegation in the VIP reception room. Secretary Yang Chunhua warmly welcomed the delegation's visit. Both sides exchanged information about their respective libraries, including early education and preschool education services, library book loan services, the relationship between the library and local universities, and the library's international exchange and cooperation. Minister Templeman praised the Shanghai Library East for its magnificent architectural design and thanked Secretary Yang Chunhua for her warm reception. Both sides are looking forward to further cooperation and exchanges in the future.
After the meeting, the delegation mainly toured the City Salon and the Treasured Collections Library on the 7th floor, the Reading Square on the 3rd floor, and the atrium.
