On February 29, 2024, Mr. David Gosset, Chairman of DG2CI International Communication and Consulting Company, and a group of three visited Director Chen Chao at the Shanghai Library East. Mr. David Gosset is the initiator of the China-Europe-America Global Initiative. He invited Director Chen Chao to participate in the China-Europe-America Museums Cooperation Initiative•Fourth Dialogue held on May 22-23 this year at the Tianjin Museum. Director Chen gave Mr. David Gosset an introduction to the development of the Shanghai Library and hoped that he could come to the Shanghai Library East to participate in the 12th Shanghai International Library Forum (SILF) in October this year. Both wish to have the possibility of further cooperation. After the meeting, Mr. David Gosset presented his three signed works to the Shanghai Library, and then visited such library areas as the Urban Living Room and Treasured Collections Library on the 7th floor, the Genealogy Library and the Manuscript Library on the 4th floor.
