The “Window of Shanghai”,
an integral part of “ China Book Internationll” Project (
CBI, http://www.chinabookinternational.cn/ ), is initiated by Shanghai
Library and aims to introduce Chinese history and culture to overseas readers,
promote the Chinese civilizations, and publicize new progresses of the reform
and opening-up, by means of donating books to foreign libraries and related
institutes.
Since the establishment of its new building, Shanghai Library has been engaged
in extensive book exchanges with other libraries all over the world, concluding
cooperation with 150 libraries and 30 research institutes in over 20
countries/regions. |
