From 2008, the Shanghai Library has issued multilingual foldouts of Readers’
Guide as its multilingual service. 15 versions have so far come out,
including Chinese, English, Japanese, German, French, Russian, Korean,
Spanish, Arabic, Dutch, Italian, Hungarian, Greek, Serbian, Portuguese,
while some of the versions are being updated. The foldouts have been
dispatched to libraries within Shanghai Central Library System and
consulates in Shanghai for potential use.
In accordance with the requirement of 'barrier-free' language service, the
Shanghai Library devotes further efforts in terms of staff training,
indicator improvement and website construction.
